but the DSS has done me some good during my playthroughs aswell and once again, fashion souls. Presonally i like the DSSS better because it does more physical as some enemies are pretty resistant to lightning but also hits really hard with the weapon skill and also because. my testing may not be accurate because i didnt do too much of it as i didnt plan on comparing the two but for me the DSSS hits harder. at 40 str / 40 dex / 40 faith ive hit for about 1k with the DSS weapon skill and 1.5k with the DSSS weapon skill (Sacred Oath, Deep protection, and Lloyds sword ring were used during both of these and both weapons are +5).
The weapon skill on both hits pretty hard but for the DSS you have to hit most if not all of the consecutive attacks prior to the finishing blow in order for the big hit which can be quite annoying because it has a spear charge and those are pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ when it comes to tracking. The DSS has a typical spear moveset, but the DSSS (two handed) has a halberd moveset. DSS does more Lightning damage and less physical, DSSS does more Physical and quite a bit less Lightning.
